Bringing Community Empowerment Programme in Wonogiri
In ISA 2025, Kalbe once again brought up the community empowerment programme in Wonogiri, Central Java. The empowerment programme initiated by Kalbe began with a concern over the absence of access to clean water to meet the worship needs of a mosque in Watuagung Village, Baturetno District.
The programme to open access to clean water in Watuagung village has expanded from 80 households to more than 200 households in Watuagung and Boto village. In addition, various economic development programmes were also implemented such as: environment-based waste management, biogas development and renewable energy development.
‘There are several community empowerment programmes that Kalbe has run in Wonogiri, such as the opening of access to clean water, waste management to the development of biogas facilities. Hopefully, this award can spur Kalbe to continue to innovate and continue to carry out activities with the Wonogiri community,’ said SFD Arie Wibowo, Kalbe Corporate Sustainability Assistant Manager.
The awarding of Kalbe in ISA 2025 shows Kalbe's commitment in conducting sustainable community empowerment programmes and empowering the community.
