Jakarta, 3 November 2026 – PT Kalbe Farma Tbk (Kalbe) has once again demonstrated its leadership in sustainability by securing four awards at the Environmental & Social Innovation Awards (ENSIA) 2026. The achievement recognises Kalbe’s commitment to responsible business practices, particularly in the areas of environmental, social and governance (ESG).

At the event organised by PT Sucofindo, Kalbe received the Special Innovation Award for Clean Energy Transition Efforts, the Platinum Award for Emissions Reduction, the Gold Award for Biodiversity, and the Silver Award for Hazardous Waste Reduction and Utilisation. These sustainability initiatives were jointly implemented by Kalbe Corporate Sustainability and Kalbe BO Cikarang.

ENSIA 2026 is an annual recognition programme honouring companies that have delivered tangible results in supporting the transition towards a resilient green economy. This year, the programme attracted 253 companies from various sectors, with a focus on food security, decarbonisation and the circular economy.

Abi Nisaka, Head of Corporate Sustainability at Kalbe, stated that the awards reflect the company’s ongoing efforts to embed sustainability principles across all business operations.

"In line with Kalbe’s mission of improving health for a better life, and our sustainability commitment through the Bersama Sehatkan Bangsa initiative, we continue to deliver products, services and programmes supported by responsible business practices that generate positive impacts for both society and the environment," said Abi.

He added that the awards not only represent an achievement but also serve as motivation for Kalbe to further advance environmentally responsible and sustainable business practices.

One of the awards recognised Kalbe’s clean energy transition programme through the utilisation of biogas and solar panels in Wonogiri Regency, Central Java. SFD Arie Wibowo, Corporate Sustainability Assistant Manager at Kalbe, explained that the programme was developed in collaboration with local communities through village associations to ensure the long-term sustainability of facility management.

"Through the biogas and solar panel programme in Wonogiri, Kalbe works closely with local communities to independently manage the facilities. This approach not only provides access to affordable clean energy but also generates economic benefits that contribute to improved community welfare," Arie explained.

Implemented in Pandawa Lima Village, the programme forms part of Kalbe’s community development efforts aimed at improving quality of life through greater access to environmentally friendly energy while supporting local economic independence.

Beyond energy transition initiatives, Kalbe was also recognised for its community-based sea turtle hatchling conservation programme in Yogyakarta, which contributes to biodiversity preservation and community empowerment in coastal areas.

Meanwhile, Kiman Salim, Site Head of Kalbe BO Cikarang, emphasised that the success of Kalbe’s sustainability programmes is closely linked to the company’s commitment to environmentally responsible manufacturing processes.

"Kalbe continues to promote production processes that comply with environmental requirements. These efforts are not only intended to meet regulatory obligations but also demonstrate our commitment to preserving the planet for future generations," said Kiman.

Through a range of programmes focused on emissions reduction, clean energy transition, waste management and biodiversity conservation, Kalbe continues to strengthen its contribution to sustainable development while advancing its mission of delivering better health for a better life.
