As part of its commitment to supporting the creation of a green and inclusive environment, PT Kalbe Farma Tbk through its subsidary PT Bintang Toedjoe participated in a land utilisation programme in the DKI Jakarta area through the development of urban farming-based public facilities. This activity was carried out on 5 February 2026 in Cakung Subdistrict, East Jakarta, specifically in Jatinegara RT 003/RW 013.
This programme aims to support food security while encouraging productive and sustainable land use for the surrounding community. In addition to arranging the area as a public facility and sports space, this activity also focused on planting Family Medicinal Plants (TOGA) that can be used directly by local residents.
During the implementation, the PT Bintang Toedjoe team also distributed and planted various types of TOGA, such as red ginger and several other plants, which are expected to be developed and maintained together by the local community. The presence of these medicinal plants not only serves as a greening element but also as a source of education and health benefits for the surrounding environment.
Through this urban farming programme, it is hoped that a green, productive, and inclusive shared space will be created, capable of providing long-term benefits for the community. Because the small steps taken today can lay the foundation for a healthier and more sustainable environment in the future.
